The Green Sanctuary program, originally founded and managed by the Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth, was designed to give roots and wings to the vision that, together, we can create a world in which all people make reverence, gratitude, and care for the living Earth that is central to our lives.  It provides a path for congregational study, reflection, and action in response to environmental challenges.  Unitarian Universalist congregations throughout the country (currently one in four) are engaging in this work in order to proclaim and live out their commitment to the Earth.

This blog seeks to:

  • highlight the work of Unitarian Universalist congregations that are engaging in the Green Sanctuary program,
  • provide resources and ideas to congregations,
  • and share information about what’s going on with the Green Sanctuary program.

The Green Sanctuary Program is currently managed by the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations Office of Congregational Stewardship Services. To contact the Program Manager email uua_greensanctuary @ uua dot org
